The union Adam and Eve, like the dream of every couple, was meant to last forever.  But something went horribly wrong.  Do we have scientific evidence that their love was meant to last forever?  Scientists have been troubled by the fact that human cells seem to be designed to live forever and yet they don't.  They noticed cancer cells have the property of being "immortal" yet normal cells age.   An immortal cell lives forever as long as it is nourished and protected.  It seemed the machinery is all there for immortaility in humans but something caused aging to be programmed into the cells.

If your instincts tell you that sickness and death and the sad state of human affairs indicates something is wrong with the world, then you are right!! It was not meant to be this way. Our instincts tell us that  love, beauty, health, and life were the original design of the world.  Biolgists can now see artifacts of the gift that was forsaken in the Garden of Eden.  Ever since Eden, our genes have been deteriorating.  The fact of gene deterioration is there, and the rate of deterioration is alarming.  Given these facts, population genetecists sometime wonder, "why aren't we all dead?"

Did we evolve through Darwinian processs from  mud or instead did we descend from Adam and Eve who were meant to live and love forever!  Geron succeeded in immortalizing human cells because the human cells had all the machinery to live forever, but something in the machinery broke down, and Geron found a way to reporgram it.

The following article betrays some troubling facts.  The scinetist in question, Valter Longo, almost gets it right.

Aging and Death are Programmed

Valter is close to the truth, but not quite there!  He fails to realize why there is aging and death.  The truth is, in Psalm 90 where Moses cries before God:

      "We are consumed by your anger
     and terrified by your indignation.
    All our days pass away under your wrath;
     we finish our years with a moan.
     The length of our days is seventy years-
     or eighty, if we have the strength;
     yet their span  is but trouble and sorrow,
     for they quickly pass, and we fly away. "

Aging and Death are programmed into our genes by God.  This raises troubling philosophical questions for sure, but do the empirical scientific evidences support this view?  Were love, beauty and life meant to last forever but something went horribly wrong?  Is our intuition correct that the world is not the way it should be?  We believe so.

It is our hope that God will one day have mercy on this world as that is the good news in the Christian Scriptures.  If science affirms the Scriptures truthfulness, then we have reason to hope.....

The Christian Scriputres  begin  with a marriage in the book of Genesis and the Christian Scriptures end with a marriage in the book of Revelation.  Human romance is an imperfect picture of what will happen at the end of time. We can accept by faith that the picture of love that we seen in human affairs, the picture of male and female woven into all biology is prophetic of the ultimate destiny of the universe.  The fact of male and female genders defy Darwinian explanations, but make complete sense in light of the Christian Scriptures.  The fact of Male and Female is a theme woven throughout all biology, and it prophesies of the ultimate destiny of the universe. The Christian Scriptures liken the end of time to a wedding.
